Publish themes

After your theme .zip file is uploaded, you can publish it through the Genstore partner center and submit it to the Genstore Theme Store, where merchants can install or purchase it.

Before publishing

• Register and log in to your Genstore partner account
• Make sure your theme is fully developed and the .zip file has been uploaded
• Prepare a demo store link, feature screenshots, and descriptive content for the listing

Complete theme listing information

After uploading the theme file, go to the theme submission page and fill in the required details.

Review information (not visible to merchants)

In the Theme review guidelines section, provide:

• Target merchant type: Briefly describe the types of merchants your theme is designed for
• Theme highlights: Explain how your theme helps merchants attract buyers and boost sales

Note: This information is only for reviewers and will not be displayed to merchants.

Basic information (primary language)

• primary language: The primary language for your theme listing. We recommend choosing English.
  • Note: Once selected, all subsequent details must be provided in this language.
• Theme tagline (subtitle): A short, engaging tagline that highlights your theme's strengths
• Industry: Select the industry or category that best matches your theme

Theme styles

You can add multiple styles. For each style, provide:

• Style name: For example, "Minimal White," "Modern Black"
• Primary color: Automatically detected but can be adjusted manually
• Demo store URL: Ensure the link is valid and accessible
• Desktop screenshot: 1920 × 3413 px, format WebP/JPG/PNG
• Mobile screenshot: 880 × 1760 px, format WebP/JPG/PNG

Version details

• Version number: Use semantic versioning, e.g., 1.0.0
• Version description: Describe updates or key features

Theme highlights

Upload at least 2–3 highlight sections. Each must include:

• Highlight title: 50 characters or fewer recommended
• Highlight description: Short and value-focused
• Highlight screenshot: Clearly showcase the feature

Tutorial link (optional)

Provide a link to the theme usage guide to help merchants get started quickly.

Template pricing

Currently, themes can only be installed for free. Paid or subscription models are not supported.

Contact information

• Merchant review email: Receive notifications when merchants leave or update reviews
• Theme submission email: For communication regarding the review process
• Contact support email: Where merchants can reach you for installation or usage issues

Submit your theme

Once all required fields are completed, click Submit theme. After submission, the system will automatically check for completeness. If any prompts appear, follow the instructions to complete or correct the information.

• Review time: 2–3 business days, and results will be sent via email

Configure additional languages

After completing the primary language setup, you can add multilingual content to improve the browsing experience for global users.

• Supported languages: English and Simplified Chinese
• How to configure:
  1. Go to the theme details page
  2. Find Other languages, then click Edit
  3. Provide translations for the tagline, description, and highlight content

Multilingual display behavior

• Merchants using the English interface will see the English version
• Merchants using the Simplified Chinese interface will see the Chinese version

This feature helps improve theme visibility and conversion in different markets.
