App extensions

App extensions allow developers to create custom features and display components for the Genstore storefront, enabling flexible customization and enhancing the user experience.

Currently, only theme extensions are supported. Developers can create extensions using the CLI tool. For detailed steps, see Create an extension with Genstore CLI. Once created, you can view the extension’s details on this page.

Enable development store preview

The Development store preview toggle allows developers to preview app extensions in a Genstore development store.

TIP

If your app is already published in Genstore app store, enabling extension preview will affect development stores under the same partner account where the app is installed.
