Before building with Genstore, it's important to understand how the ecosystem works—what tools are available, how the pieces fit together, and where your app or theme adds value. A solid grasp of this foundation helps you create seamless, high-impact integrations.

Genstore provides everything merchants need to run an online business. As an EcoPartner, you can extend that experience through powerful APIs, custom apps, and fully integrated themes.

APIs ​

The Genstore API lets you connect directly to core platform services and data. It's your gateway to building tools that work natively with Genstore stores. Key domains include:

  • Products – Access and manage product data. Create, update, and organize inventory.
  • Orders – Handle the full order lifecycle, from creation to fulfillment and status updates.
  • Customers – Manage customer records, contact info, order history, and marketing preferences.
  • Payments – Integrate with Genstore's billing system to handle pricing, invoices, and transactions.
  • Discounts – Build and manage discount logic, including rules, conditions, and promotion tracking.
  • Themes – Automate theme creation or offer design flexibility with customizable storefront templates.

Apps ​

Merchants can enhance their stores by installing apps from the Genstore App Store or by working with custom-built solutions.

  • Genstore Apps – Built and supported by Genstore. These apps are tightly integrated and free to use.
  • Third-Party Apps – Built by EcoPartners like you. Once approved, they're listed in the App Store and available to all merchants.
  • Custom Apps – You can also create private apps tailored to a specific merchant's needs or for headless commerce use cases.

App Store ​

As an EcoPartner, you can submit your app to the Genstore App Store to reach a broad base of merchants. Genstore reviews all apps for quality, performance, and merchant value—especially in key areas like marketing, checkout, fulfillment, and analytics.

Theme Store ​

The Genstore Theme Store features high-converting, mobile-ready e-commerce themes. You can build and submit your own themes for review. Themes must follow Genstore's design and performance guidelines to ensure a smooth merchant experience.
